Location
The little village of Laurac-le-Grand was at one time the capital of the region of Lauragais and has some interesting sights to offer: the village church, a ruined castle and parts of fortifications dating back to the 11th, 13th and 16th centuries. Magnificent views can be enjoyed from the 341 metre high “Pierre Levée”, enabling you to look out over 7 Départements.
The village baker visits us every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with freshly baked bread and croissant - delicious!

Civilization is not too far away, our nearest large town of Castelnaudary, better known for its famous cassoulet is only 10 minutes away.
